Delhi HC asks Centre to act against the mushrooming of fake higher education institutions
The Delhi High Court called upon the Centre to take action against the growing number of fake higher education institutions. The court sought an affidavit from the Centre, the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) detailing the measures being taken to address the issue. The court was hearing a public interest litigation seeking action against fake universities and also sought information on steps taken by the Delhi government.
